The dark nights are here and much of my football work will be flood lit.At the moment i have my MKIII in camera sharpening set at standard and at 2. I was wondering does anybody use faithfull and sharpen in photoshop. It might help with noise at 6400

Good luck Allan with the MkIII at 6400 as I hate going at 3200.

Others with a lot more experience with a Mk III may be happy but not me.

However if you have to you have to.

To your question though I'd say give it a go and see.

i will stick to 3,200 normally, but sometimes the light is that dull i have to go higher.

I've seen a few threads knocking around relating to using high ISO.......

From what I can gather, a well exposed image at 6400 would look better than an under exposed image at 3200 but it will depend a lot on what sort of background you're shooting against as darker colours tend to show noise up worse than lighter ones.

Also consider that if you can only get images using 6400, a few albeit grainy images may be better than blurry or no images.
