does easyjet or similiar do a deposit booking rather than the full amount

im want to book flights for 7 people all family

but i dont want to go all the way through the process and find i have to pay over £1500 for all 7 of us as we dont have that kind of money just yet
 
I'd be very surprised if you find any airline accepting merely a deposit for a flight. Especially the budget airlines.

And be careful, booking for a group could be the beginning of a nightmare if one or more drop out at some stage. Especially if you have paid and they haven't. Especially if it involves families.

Nightmares are made of this.
 
it is very close family all 7 inc me and the wife so im not worried about the money ie paying in front

why dont they do deposits i want to go we have the time off i just dont have all my money for the flight not yet anyway in a few weeks i will

best go to a travel agent then they should do that sort of thing shouldnt they
 
Don't know if Jet2 is any use to you but they do £25.00 deposit on each person when booking in a group, but for 10 or over.
I was on their site last week checking about group bookings last week as I have to make a group booking for 11 people for 2011 but need to book later this year when the 2011 flights come out.
Jet2.com Phone the companies, they can only say yes or no

50 pence per minute and all i got for the 1st 40 seconds was visit our website visit our website

so phone got put down
will email them instead

shame it is for more than 10 people
