Yes
Anyone else finding uploading very slow and often displaying error messages?
Very frustrating.

Nope!
But my broadband is pretty fast since I changed providers :)

Slow uploads, yes occasionally incredibly slow, but never errors.

works 100% for me too

might be a problem at your end

Les :D

Yes I get error messages and timed out messages at times, only had it since the new Flickr launch

That's what I'm getting. Was wondering if it was my laptop, but perhaps not.

LR?
Just tried to upload a photo to flickr and wouldn't do it. Started but ended without uploading.
Wonder if I'm doing it right :
upload
choose photos
open from libraries
click upload one photo
upload
wait endlessly for pink bar to complete

hi

I have had problems too with some files if they were big, if its a big file (10meg+) i will upload on its own, any files that are smaller will try together but no more then 3 at a time

hope the info helps

Dave

mine seems to be fine, my laptop is pretty slow anyway so I never notice the difference lol

You get that if the files too big, instead of telling you its too big it just seems to try and upload it anyway and frustrates you when it fails after a few minutes. All the photos I put on Flickr I just limit the file size in Lightroom when im exporting, dont have to worry about it again. This was especially annoying with the D3200 and 24MP files!

I tried yesterday to upload 19 photos at the same time. Couldn't do it. This is what you refer to perhaps? So one at a time then. And I thought I was being clever :)

When I limited the file size in Lightroom I've never had any issues, even when uploading 20 or more so not too sure why that's happening!

Now I can't see how to edit a photo! lol

Hi, I've not experienced any problems yet.

I used to have quite a few issues with using Flickr's interface but since changing to a small dedicated uploader, it's improved no end :)
The uploader I use is Flickr Uploader from Ross Burton, I think it's Linux only, though.
I've no doubt there'll be a shed load of similar offerings for Windows/Mac.

FLICKR IS DOWN AGAIN:shake:

Never had a problem with large or small files.

The Flickr servers have been sabotaged - major outage.

It was down when i posted

It is down in the UK.

'Bad, bad panda' is displayed.

Still down,showing bad panda

Won't connect me to edit aviary or whatever it's called. Is it fair to say flickr is more popular than any other system worldwide? Can't think why. I try photobucket and get the adverts. grrrrrrr

Just worked for me. However, I wouldn't call it user friendly.

I've had quite a few failed loadings since they started doing the new photo page opt-in testing. Presumably they're doing stuff behind the scenes that occasionally knocks the site off for some people though it's working for me at the moment.

what way you trying to upload as I had problems with internet explorer

but chrome or Firefox works also you download their upload tool

I see this now, what are peoples thoughts?
Initially I was going to comment about no exif data available but they say that will be back once out of beta.
Also looks to be no way to view larger sizes, but it initially displays a much larger image (even if that means upsizing what you uploaded! - Oh dear...)

First impression was not bad though.
