I have used photobucket for a number of years nowand almost at 100% capacity on what your allowed, it is only recently I started a flikr account, am I being a total thicko?, I have managed to upload 3 photos I think, but what happens once they were uploaded I have no idea.

:cuckoo::bonk:

What's your user name on flickr?

There isn't much to Flickr besides uploading your photos and letting others view them. To rename them, click the bold name atop the photos and type whatever you want to call them. Similarly, to add a comment, click the bit underneath the photo and type what you want as the comment.

I'm still not great with sets and pools so I'll let a pro advise on that.

Apperently you're not: couldn't find your account after searching...

Just done a screen grab

I'm not finding you either

Once you get that sorted out you will probably want to put your photo's in "sets". If you buy a pro account you can also have "collections" of "sets".

To make a set go to "Organise & Create" > "Sets" > "Create a new set"

You can then drag and drop the shots you want in the set, add a name and description and then save it.

No problem.

I've had a flickr account for a while but just recently upgraded it to a pro-account as on a normal one you can keep adding photo's but only the 200 most recent will show. It also gives other features like stats of how many views / comments etc you get / collections / gallery features.

I've been trying to use flickr a bit more now I'm paying for it - joining groups and commenting on other peoples shots etc. The first group you should join is this one:

You can never escape TP :D

I have figured out some stuff thanks to Fi. And Clicking that link NOW

Love the selective colouring River Dee photo. Took the liberty of adding you as one of my contacts too.

I had a sneeky feeling that was you its ok, and thanks

Off to add you now so that I can see the shots with the new camera.

I've added you too Julian. :D Have a look at the British Superbike photos on my photostream, they were taken from the car park!

Added all 312 or how ever many it was :-)

Is there a way of importing photobucket contents onto flickr?

Only just got on flickr myself, took the liberty of adding you as my first contact

Also joined the TP group.

As far as I'm aware the only way to transfer from photobucket to flickr is to download the images and then re-upload them to flickr.

Julian,

You can download a little application from Flickr, which helps with uploading images and sorting in to sets etc. I find it easier than the web browser method anyway.

Try this: http://www.flickr.com/tools/uploadr/

It might help if you have batches of images to add :)

Me too :(
