No
For some reason Flickr has stopped letting me upload photographs. It started last night and I initially thought it was an issue with them but it's the same tonight. I can log in, see my pictures/photostream etc etc but as soon as I hit the cloud symbol to upload I get the following screen and the only bit that works is the Flickr logo which takes me to their main site and the Photostream which takes me back to my pics.

I've re-booted, signed in and out, tried different browsers, cleared my cache etc and nothing makes a difference. I have two Flickr accounts, only one of which I now use but it's the same on both.

Any ideas. Any advice greatfully accepted.

Cheers FH

It was playing up for me earlier also, although I was deleting images from the site. It just kept crashing and showing an image of a young girl pulling a panda...odd
Yeah, I had the panda thing earlier but not last night and it was gone as soon as I logged out and back in again. A mystery.

Thanks FH

Still the same today. I'm totally flummoxed.

Have you hit the 1,000 limit for a free account?

No, I'm sitting at 40 images.

Bloody thing still ain't working. Neither accounts let me up load on Chrome, Firefox of Brave. I've installed DuckDuck and it seems to be working on that browser. Totally confused. Hey ho!!!!

make sure you're viewing at "actual size" if you're zoomed in the upload button gets hidden....

Tried that but the screenshot above is all there is. I haven't changed any of my browser settings and I've tried it with extensions off, addblocker off, VPN off but nothing makes a difference.

Clearely a browser issue I feel but funny how it works on DuckDuck but not working any longer on the others.

how annoying! have you tried incognito/private browsing window to see if it works?

No, never thought of that but surely the VPN would do the same thing. I'll give it a go tho. Cheers.

VPN will make it look like you are accessing Flickr from somewhere else. Incognito will be like you are accessing it from a fresh browser with no cookies etc.

My first thought would be that it is a browser setting or plugin issue, or Javascript being blocked, but it shouldn't follow across browsers. Firefox can sometimes be a bit over zealous blocking scripts, particularly on private browsing, so it could be worth switching that sort of thing off - although I just tried it here and it was OK with everything switched on.

I don't think you have mentioned what OS/version you are using, and if the browsers are up to date. It could be that if you are using an older browser, the uploader could be using a new Javascript feature that is not supported.

Thanks.

I'm running windows 11. The PC is less than a year old so the browsers have been installed within that time. As said I've tried with VPN and browser extensions off. Strange that both Chrome and Firefox stopped allowing the Flicker upload function at the same time.

I'm not sure how to check the JavaScript thing.
