Flickr question?

Load them to flickr at that resolution, I load most of my stuff on flickr for here so load at 800px.

A Pro account gives you the 800 option iirc, the other ways to do it are either to upload at the size you require, or resize using Picnik once the images are on Flickr.

News to me. The new layout gives you 640px alongside the old 500px, but I've never discovered an 800px wide option.

You are joking?

That's the sneaky peak new layout. So it sounds like the new look Flickr will give you an 800 px option.

At the moment you want to upload at 800px to get the option. No point uploading any higher res in case it gets half inched!

Hi Try

Actions/View All Sizes, choose the size you want, right click view image there you have the image Url in the address bar

I can't even view that new look - It says I need to be running IE8 - I am already, but for some reason Flickr doesn't recognise that  The future's not looking bright!!

What will that achieve? Is it very different from IE?

Much better browser Sara, tons of addons, eg exif viewers, google site previews, dictionary loads of apps all free

**** Not sure it will copy your favs over if it cant, Export an html file of your favs from IE and then in FF Bookmarks/ Organize Bookmarks/From the menu, Import And Back Up/ Import HTML File

So as the OP does not see a option greater than 640px, we can presume he is uploading only at 640px, but I would have thought he would know that!

That's because you've uploaded it at that size - if you upload at larger than 800px along the longest size then large is 1025px along the longest size as standard

Plus you cant just paste that html, into the reply box it doesnt work

Thanks for the replies everyone. I was hoping to be able to have them as 800x600 then clickable to the larger size but it would seem I can't. I have only ever used photobucket but was seeing if flickr has better image quality.

Im sure this has been covered thousands of times on here but I wanted to see for myself.
