Flickr Pro accounts - how hard can it be to sign up!?!

I've just spent the best part of 1/2 an hour trying to pay Flickr (ie. yahoo) so that I can have a Pro account. Shouldn't be too difficult should it?

So how come I'm getting an 'invalid payment method' with perfectly valid payment information?!

Bloody yahoo :bang:

Just sent a secure message to my bank asking if they're blocking the transaction for some reason. :shake:

Is it me?
 
Not a clue. Not a Flickr technical help support person :) It worked fine for me. I suggest talking to them.
 
Nope- paypal isn't supported any more (that looks like it's caused a bit of a hoo-ha). I did get a reply rather rapidly suggesting that it may be my computer that's got Spyware on it. Erm, no.

TBH I'll just use flickr for the 200 photos and find somewhere else to host the rest. I can self host (http://gallery.hunter13.com) but that uses Gallery and the upload process isn't so hot.
 
I'd say find the problem and fix it. Flickr isn't just about storing 200 photos. Plus the payment system has worked for thousands of others. I'm sure with some time spent you'll find the problem or they will.
 
They dont take Paypal anymore? :eek:

I can't tell you how much I hate anything tainted by Yahoo. But dropping Paypal can only be good news - another bunch of crooks.
 
Must admit I agree with you there bloo.
Yahoo have broken everything they've 'consumed'. Just look at what they did with BT's broadband.

As for paypal, handy, but evil.
