My Flickr pro account recently expired and the email from Flickr reads -

• Photostream viewing is limited to the 200 most recent photos
• Your account will have a monthly upload limit instead of unlimited uploads
• Your originals are not viewable (though we save them for when you upgrade later)

Yet according to this page - www.flickr.com/help/limits/#28
there's no mention of it being limited to my 1st 200 photos and it says I have 1 terabyte of storage not limited monthly upload.!
It seems most of the difference is the ads, which is right?

I think maybe they have forgotten to update their automated email with the recent(ish) changes they have made to the rest of the site (IE 1 tera space etc)

Im struggling to see why i would keep my pro account now. Before it made sense but now paying not to have ads is crazy.

What does it look like with the ads?

Its not just the adds though, its also the image ranking and available of stats and linking information. Plenty of success stories of people using these to identify image theft.

With Pro it used to mean that any amendments in LR did not affect your existing image comments/feedback whereas as the standard would do a delete and new image with no history.

I thought that this would now have changed with the demise of Pro in its previous incarntation but no, I tweaked an image in LR and uploaded it to find it wiped out the previous history (I wasn't worried as this was a test) but I can't find confimration that if I pay will it still stop this happening?

Sorry to the OP for going off topic slightly!

I think the upload size is limited too isn't it?

Steve
