Yes
Is anyone successfully using Flickr to post pictures on here
I can't get it to work I've tried using the bb code as suggested before but doesn't work
The code itself that you highlight seems too long if that makes sense
At the moment I'm using image shack as recommended on here, on the free month trial which is working great
I will probably just pay for the service when that's up as it's not that expensive just wondered why Flickr isn't working any more

I am having the same problem. Only made a flickr account today after photobucktet started being a ****.

Oh it's not just me then
I did mention a while ago in another post and Cobra did say that the new version of flickr isn't working too well
I was hoping that it was sorted by now and tried it again and couldn't get it to work
Know what you mean about photobucket I've been using it for ages and all of a sudden now when I click on the upload button nothing happens
I can recommend image shack tho easy to use and works well but it's not free after the first month but not very much tho think £12 a year can't remember exactly

I use Flickr. The way I do it is to copy the BB code, then modify it. So, I delete everything after '.jpeg' and everything before 'http://' Works fine for me.

Ahh I see thanks will try that:)
Does make sense as the BB code that I highlighted seems too long

Just straight copy and pasted this from the Flickr photostream (grabbed a random image from the Flickr Offical Account) and it seems to be working.

As said above, make sure you are using the BBCode and not HTML.

If you're talking about Flickr in general and not just an issue today, then I think a huge amount of users here use it with no issues :) I find it quite a good service (although it has gone downhill in recent months but that's another story...)

thanks everyone this is what I did
I click on more ways to share
then grab bb code and this is it
it seems to be too much code a sharing link ting is normally much shorter than this :

when I do Nicks suggestion of deleting everything after '.jpeg' and everything before 'http://
this:

it works but as Neil said flikr don't allow this

Oh it worked that time !!

but I just tried it using the little icon on the TP toolbar next to the smiles and copy the bb code into it and I get this
12350910694_9f547bb015_o.jpg
[/url][/IMG]
so the answer is just to copy and paste the bb code in to the reply page and not use the icon on the toolbar:):)
thanks everyone I've got it sussed now:)

You may find you have been logged out.

I just went into bucket and, for the first time for years, found I had to log in.

Upload opens fine.

hi all, I have tried to upload photos from my pictures, to flickr without success recently.
I tried to upload 150 photos, I don't know if there was too many,
but it kept coming up as failed.

Thats the way you are suppose to do it Pete,
and the T&C's of Flickr state (or used to,) that you have to link back to their site, where the image is hosted.
Although you can shorten it to do away with the link.
I've never heard of anyone getting in the crap over it ;)
But there is always a first time for everything these days :D

Thanks Chris now I know what I was doing wrong I may as well copy the whole BB link anyway so I won't need to risk upsetting Flickr
I was trying to use the insert image button on the TP toolbar when I just needed to paste the BB link onto the page :)

The insert or up load a file can be done direct from an image your PC (in case you didn't know)

You will find that there are size restrictions doing it that way though Pete.
They take into account Pixel size and Kb/Mb size.
Its some (auto) calculation that I don't understand.
