Flickr or Photobucket?

Hmm I think for the time being i will stay free, although i think when the motorsport season is in full swing i'll probably need more space!

I asked my Brother to buy it for me for Christmas (they have a "Give the gift of pro" thing)!

It depends what you want to do with the images you post.

I joined Flickr to see how it worked, and joined a few groups, bit it didn't work for me. There's too much random and poor images that seem popular because of the amount of contacts people have. I never used it for hosting images because it didn't seem good for that as you had limited resolution options to show.

Before I did this I was using Photobucket for hosting images I post in forums like this. I went off Photobucket for some reason I can't recall and now use Imageshack for just hosting images, it is very simple and plain in layout and easily shows me all the links I need.

For having an online gallery, I've gone with 500px, which I'm just using to show my best images from trips to Italy at the moment until I upgrade to their 'awesome' package over the next few months. The quality of images is generally very good, though the overall quality is starting to come down as it get popular, and people put, shall we say, less than their best images on there, and it gravitates towards a Flickr level of website.
