I use Flickr for hosting the photos I post in some of the sections here (like the PP thread etc) but for some reason I have to upload every pic twice, the first time the loading bar goes about 3/4 of the way across and freezes, I've tried waiting 15 mins but nothing more happens. I have to close the window and upload it again, it works fine the second time.
Now I've tried it from 2 different computers and I've really good broadband, is it only me or is this a known issue with flickr, (it never used to do it with the old uploader) Any ideas???

Thanks Wayne

I haven't had that but if I ever try to upload a batch it tells me they aren't acceptable formats (which they are) and I always end up having to upload one at a time ... peeves me this desire to change everything - if it ain't broke don't fix it! :bat:

I had that problem when I was with T*sco. It lasted for weeks and was a problem with their broadband that they seemed at the time unable to fix. I eventually changed suppliers and have had no further problems. Downloading stuff was fine, it was uploading where the problem was.

Mine had been doing that, it gets a bit frustrating when adding a lot of tags etc.

Seems ok at the moment though, it just sorted itself out.

I've given up on FlickR. I only ever used it as a hosting site for photos to post on forums etc and find the gallery here far easier to upload to and get into posts. Apart from a password memory problem (mine not FlickR's!), the uploads are slow and the auto resize destructive - I uploaded self resized files at the forum required px and B sizes rather than allow FlickR any control over them. Besides, if someone wants to see my pics, I'd far rather post them a print - screen based shots look carp in comparison to even a lowly enprint!

Me too. Same problem, been going on for a few weeks now. Not really tempting me to pay for a proper Pro account after the free, albeit castrated Pro offer expires.

I've been having the same problem for about 5 days now - very frustrating.

No issues at all here, may I suggest you download the desktop program Flickr uploadr makes life a lot easier

I've got that - used it before the 'new' upload feature on Flickr and am seriously going back to it....never had any problems with it!

Thanks for all the replies everybody, maybe it time to switch from Flickr to something else.

I upload directly from Lightroom and have had no issues at all.
