Apologies if this is posted in the wrong arena - please feel free to move it.

Question - How do I include a link to my flickr account like I see in some of your signatures.

Its the flicker logo thing I'm trying to use.

Had a look in tutorials which shows me how to get the photo banner but can't get that to work either.

No rush to reply as I've not got anything on flickr (or anywhere else for that matter) worth looking at but would just like to know for future reference.

Regards
Neil.

If you quote my post, you should be able to see how I've done it. Replace the URL with the link to your page and Robert's your mother's brother. :)

flickr

In case you're wondering, it's BBCode, a common set of tags used in bulletin boards that get translated when the page is displayed.

Thanks Dean,
I spent most of yesterday trying to figure this.

Thanks Geoff.
Had you not posted I would have spent all night trying to figure this further.

I'm off to start a new thread complete with signature.

Regards
Neil.

Pleasure Neil. It took me ages to fathom it out too when I fisrt joined

Look no sig \/ !!

Took me ages to figure out too!

And i think it's actually random when the signature shows up, as in previous threads for example; my 8th and 19th post would have signature:thinking:

You're welcome, chaps :)

Regarding when the sig appears, if you're using the quick reply box at the bottom of the page, there's a checkbox on the right hand side ("Show your signature"); that needs to be ticked to display your sig.

If you click the "go advanced" button to reply, a similar check box appears in the additional options section under Miscellaneous options.

Finally, you can prevent everybody's signatures from being displayed with an option in your control panel. This comes in quite handy on forums that don't restrict signature size when people use half a screen to tell you that their name is Fred. ;)
