Edit My Images
Yes
I logged onto my flickr account earlier this week and noticed that someone had added about a dozen images from a triathlon that i had taken pictures at over the summer as there 'favourite'. I then logged on again 2 days later and the 'favourites' had all been removed!!

Not really bothered by it but wondered why people do this? Are the using it as a means to get there own views up or someting else????

Thanks

John

I sometimes favorite stuff if i like it or want to know an effect as i'm flicking through or viewing pics on slideshow/lightbox, then i'll look at them later to check out the EXIF then remove them from my favorites...

Yep using Favourites as a means of temporarily bookmarking stuff they want to come back to in a bit makes sense.

This question was posted a short while back. The search function is great!

People do it in the belief that favouring as many images as they can will help them get into Explore. There are numerous articles on the web that dish out advice on achieving the "honour" of having an image featured in explore, saying it's beneficial to favourite as many images as you can.

I put all of my photography on Flickr and can see why some people may use favouriting as a quick bookmark. However I think it would be enormously disappointing if those people removed their favourite mark of your photo. Especially if you don't get many favourites. This has never happened to me, but favouriting is unlimited, there's no call for it.
