What we fleeing from Keith, has the pink snake turned venomous ;) I thought they'd pulled his fangs years ago

The trouble is the most effective poisons and "methods" are slowly being banned be the EU.
And the surviving ones, or "new ones" the potency is being reduced year on year.
 
I've found air rifles work quite well. Haven't come across a rat that's immune to a well aimed lead pellets yet
 
There is only so many that you can shoot though.
The effective one that has just been banned, "Deadline dust"

Ideal for the larger cable trunking runs and "warrens"
They only had to walk through it, and it was absorbed through their foot pads.
They were already dead and just didn't know it.
Or if they dragged their bellies through it, and licked it off (ingested) they didn't live long enough to realise their mistake.
Unfortunately it was "too potent"!

36 last time out with the new home made night vision on the scope, over about 45 mins. Worked really well, didn't need the IR torch.
can't use poison because of other animals around, and they work their way in and out the traps.

That's why professionals use the correct trap and poison / bait station for the target species ;)

But if you have the time to shoot them then fair play to you :)
 
Ermmm... Keith, you are aware that it's 3 days until Friday, aren't you?

As for vermin, I believe that acute lead poisoning is pretty good as long as it's injected accurately.
