final cut pro is where it's at. But then I do it professionally. imovie is meant to be good, and comes with the standard ilife suite :)

Yeh i have I movie but think there is an issue with the full HD movies, anyway will find out next week when my 550d arrives

thanks

for the editing software I use Premiere Pro CS5 on my windows machine however it's very expensive and a bit over the top for what you might be after, the cheaper Premiere Elements 9 should do what you want it to and it costs around £70 or I think it's £100 for both Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements together.

As for flashgun, I bought a Jessops 360AF flashgun for around £80 last September and have found it to be excellent for a starter flashgun and has all you need to start learning off camera flash as well as on camera flash.

hope this helps you,

MT.

I used to use a Jessops 360AF flashgun and it worked well until a few months back when the capacitor decided to go pop.

For a starter flash, yes, it's a reasonable option and has a reasonably good price too, but I've now got the 430EX MkII and it's much better.

If you're developing your photography, then maybe save up and get something better for the long run rather than paying for a 'cheap' flash and then paying for another flash?

Zach
