Probably a highly stupid question, but I thought I'd check anyway...

Travelling with BA today on an intercontinental flight, should have any problems with taking a holdall on board plus camera bag should I? (both as carry on)

It's gonna have a macroflash and speedlight plus a dozen or so batteries. It could go in with the suitcase in the hold, but I'm sceptical as to whether, one, I'd ever see it again, and two, if I did see it again it would likely be in rought 10000 small peices?

Has anyone here had any trouble taking camera equipment as carry on?

As said,should have a problem. I never have and my camera bag for travelling can be quite full and slight heavy!
 
I only had problems with my rocket blower. Polish security thought it was a hand Grenade!
Everything else was fine.

My son had one of those squeezy rubber ball things with little tentacles in his backback. Imagine the consternation that caused in Singapore airport as it went through the x-ray. Staff saw the funny side in the end whilst mopping their brows. :lol:
 
I had to leave a brand new rocket blower at gatwick once in it's packet as security said it looked like a bomb and wouldn't let it on..

A sad sign of the times really. The day will come when no hand luggage will be allowed and we all have to fly naked.

Would make the flights more interesting though, especially with some of the air hostess I have seen in the past, bring it on i say:D

You will have no problems with your camera gear as carry on, much safer than putting in the luggage hold to get smashed to a million pieces.
