Hi Guys,

Just a quick question, just taking some studio photos (were amateur photographers) for our website which sells men's clothing.

We have been taking photos now for over a year with a model and we have two softbox lights with a background light and our camera on a tripod with wireless trigger (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wireless-Studio-Trigger-16-Channel-Receiver/dp/B003LYSIKQ).

When we usually take a photo the wireless trigger makes the various lights flash, however some reason this is no longer happening. When I press the test on top of the camera it does work but for some reason the camera is not prompting the trigger to make the various light flash.

I'm a real starter at this and just wondering what could be wrong as I seem to be using the exact settings that we have previously used.

Any ideas guys?

Thanks, Darrell

1. There is a locking screw that pulls the transmitter into contact with the camera, and you haven't tightened it
2. You've over-tightened it, causing the plastic to deform and make poor contact

Could be dirty contacts. Get a brush inside the hotshoe area and give iot a good clean. Also, as Garry says, make sure it's screwed down and secure as well as pushed right in. Sometimes there is a gap when the flash is not seated right.

Check also that your camera settings are on flash and have not been moved. These things often happen, but we've all been there. Hope it's sorted soon.
