flash trigger

Hi I recently invested in a set of bowens studio lights and now need to buy a trigger (€€€€€€!!!) have read some of the arguments re Radio Vs IR. I know I don't want cable - I have a few jobs lined up all involoving kids. Whats the general concensus among you all and can you recommend a reliable brand compatible with Bowens that won't break the bank. Thanks!

I use a Prolinca (Elinchrom) IR trigger in studio. Maybe not as reliable as radio, but you can pick one up for £40-£60.

cool thanks. Thats pretty cheap!! gonna be the only one shooting in the room so IR shouldn't be too much of a problem. Thanks again

No problem at all, there are also cheaper versions out there, but I've got no experience of them.

If you have a spare flash (like 430EX) it could work. I used it successfully myself.
