sorry guys another flash thread i know, but something i need next and would like to get something more in my price range because im tight...

i been looking at some other threads on flash and seen that jessops have there line few things i wanna know if people can answer here:-

1) are they any good?

2) what is the equilvilant of the canon 430 and the canon 580 (if there is any)

3) are they self powered with battries or off the camera

4) if i buy a jessop one *** will i lose out on

if any one can help me thanks
 
the jessops one's seem pretty good for the price but they are not as all singing and all dancing as the Canon ones, personally if I were you I'd look the two sigma flashes the 530 DG ST is pretty much a like for like equivalent to the 430EX and the 530 DG Super is nearly a match for the 580EX. The major advantage is that they cost an awful lot less than the canon origionals.
