Hi guys
I went to get a flash stand for my jessops 360 it is a sony fit, now I know Sony flashes have a different fitment does that mean I have to get a different stand, I only want that enables me to stand the flash on the floor just something simple ( a bit like me)

The Sony flashes tend to come with a stand but I suppose the 3rd party ones may not. Not sure if you can get them separately but there is a company called Nedis UK who supply Sony spares so it may be worth giving them a call. Sony put me onto them when I enquired about a replacement hotshoe cover.

NeilG40 - The stand will be different as the Sony hotshoe is a different fit to Canon & Nikon.
 
I was getting confused, I was thinking about the full size type of stand and not the little feet ones.

Had a feeling you might have been. :D

Actually, even the umbrella adapters are problematic for sony flashes as they usually still require a hotshoe type connection. The only ones I could find were one's that screw into the "little feet" stands so still not much good for the OP sadly. That's the one thing that does bug me about Sony, it makes the strobist route hard work.

You can get the small Sony stands Off Ebay for £5.
