Hi folks...

First thread, so please be gentle....i did try a search, but couldnt quite find what i was after.

I travel a lot, so have got a bridge, rather than a dedicated SLR...i spend a lot of time on beaches, and didn't fancy killing my sensor with sand!!

I've got a Fuji S200EXR, but need a flash, i've had a look and a Metz 36-C2 looks good, as it will work with a single pin hot shoe....(thanks Bristol Cameras!!!)

Now...the Q....how do i set it up...? do you match the settings to that of the camera as it does have TTL metering?!..e.g. ISO...etc?!

If anybody can point me to a dummies guide to set up it would be appreciated, or a few words of wisdom!

Cheers!!

Jon

I think you are more limited by the camera than the flash TBH. I have a predecessor or yours, It will take a dedicated Fuji flash, but if yo ucan find one you are doing better than me. ANd you will probably need to remortgage.

I use a £30 jessops flash head, and just play and play with the settings.

There will be a more scientific way, but unlike a dslr with a compatible flash unit, Nikon, Sony, Canon etc. you can't just put the 2 items togethr and hit the auto button.

yea...i've heard getting a flash is a bit of a bummer!!!

But i know the Metz will work!!
