hey guys,

Im looking at getting a flash as i had a smashing incident on my Jessop, Im mainly wondering should I go with a high end one or keep to the budget flashes, the main uses are going to be sports photography, aka bmx, skateboarding, also im starting to shoot at local night clubs. would anyone recommend any flashes, also my budget is roughly 200 max, could push to 300 but its a bit risky.

ta guys.

camera it would being placed on is my canon 7d.

I've just bought a Yongnuo 568ex to pair up with my Canon 580ex and I have to say I'm very impressed.

Built quality is good, and it supports full ETTL, high speed sync and control from the camera menu. I paid £125 for a 'fulfilled by Amazon' copy, but they can be had for around £100 if you're prepared to wait a few days.

I also added a par of radio triggers (Yongnuo 622C) for a further £40, so it's easier to get that flash off camera! Again, very good - full wireless ETTL, camera control etc.

I don't normally budge from genuine Canon kit, so it was a stretch for me to do this, but I'm pleased I have.

Yea i would get one of those cheap flashes too but company it with a 430 or 600ex as your main flash

with a budget of 200-300 I would struggle with buying a 430ex and chepo. so I might look into two nissans or yongnuo with some wireless triggers, so I can strap one somewhere for an extra light source
