Hi all,

My girlfriends boss kindly gave me his old Cobra 400AF-MI flash. Unfortunately it doesn't have any instructions. While taking it out I noticed the top slides to reveal various text in the window with what I guess are three modes W N and ST. Could anyone tell me what these mean and why after each one it says 'Use W Position' ?

cheers,

Wild guess, Wide, Normal and Short Telephoto?

You are talking about the flash head zooming? W would be the default position, which will work with any lens.

Bit of a stab in the dark though, assuming I've understood your question in the first place ;)

I'd guess it stands for Wide, Normal and Short Telephoto, which would probably mean 35mm, 50mm and 85-105mm, and I would guess, 'Use W position' would be the mode to use, when it is in auto
