The Sekonic seems to be the meter of choice, I bought one, but hardly ever used it, so I sold it again. I think it's on it's third owner here on TP now
I use the Sekonic. its really handy but doesnt get used alot.
Thing is i cant live without it as when i do use it it is invaluable.
If you need one, get the sekonic, it does the job. Only gripe is its a bit light. When you get it you think you paid £100 for an empty box.
I picked up a used L358 for just under £100 from MPB on here, great device, so I suspect the 308 will be good too - but I'd hunt for the 358 first if you can
I use the Sekonic L308S. Great at what it does, simple to use and if you're using a home studio an absolute god-send in terms of getting the correct exposure first time.
Question about using flash meters.
When measuring the exposure for flash, do you just point the meter in the direction of the flash. set of the flash and it takes the reading? or do you need sync cables, so it actually knows when the reading is.
