I'm sure this could have come up before, but cannot see it. What recommendations for a light meter - not the most expensive, or necessarily the cheapest, but good value for money? Help appreciated

Malcolm

2 models of Sekonic are both worth considering
L-308s (under £90 second hand)
L-358 (under £110 second hand)

I haven't had any experience of the L-308s but the L-358 takes both ambient and flash readings.
Makes setting up so quick and easy (eliminates the guesswork)

I agree with the above, I have owned both the 308 and 358 and still use the latter today, very accurate and good value for money.

Thanks Glen & Toxic,

guess I will be on the lookout for a L358 at under £110 - let me know if you hear of one and I'll consult with the bank manager in the wardrobe.lol

Thanks

Malcolm

PS. Have just seen on one of the Web sites, the L358 advertised new at £146 ........ Sooooooooo ... may consider brand new?

I think almost everybody uses one of those Sekonics. They're excellent, and I think the same underneath.

The 358 has got the twizzly top which is handy, and a semi-analogue scale which is also nice
