Flash light for my 400D - ?

I'm am considering investing in a new (or second hand) flash light for my Canon 400D. It'll mainly be used for indoor exhibitions, nightclub photography, etc - can anyone recommend anything? Thanks. :thumbs:
 
Canon 430EX or 580EX
If your not into flash lighting atm, these may be a little over done, but theres no point getting a rubbish flash then wishing u had bought a better one at the time.

Nightclub photography would need the power of a 430EX anyway.
I got my 430EX for £170 so u might be able to find out at a similar price :)
 
Subtle point here, get the 430EX II or the 580EX II, not the 430EX or the 580EX, they are a newer range. The 430EX II is a good buy at £170 at the moment. Check Amazon marketplace regularly I got mine for £120 new.
 
OK, the 430 could be an option. But what do you guys think of the cheaper alternatives? Sunpak PF30X etc.

Hi,

I can't see any on there for that price!! You'll be lucky to get one for less than £200 what with all the recent coming price bumps by Canon and Nikon :eek:

Apart from the cost factor, what differences are there betweent the 580EX II and the 430EX II? I assume one of more powerful than the other?
