Morning, all. I have a Nikon SB700 and a Yongnuo YN460-2. I'm trying to set them up so they both flash but can't seem to do it. Now I can get them to both work if I have the SB700 on camera but I'm after them both off camera. Can this be done or do I need a remote trigger of some kind?

Thanks.

Not a Nikon man but I would say you need to put a trigger on the camera. You would need 3 one on camera then one on each flash unless the flashes will work optically.

Could you not set both flashes to slave and use your pop up as a commander? I've got one of those Y 's, can't remember which one... But have in the past used my pop up to trigger it. However, I mush rather prefer to use a trigger and receivers...

Andy , are you wanting to use ttl ? Or your body as the trigger . If so put the yongnuo into s2 this should now ignore the pre flash . Just ensure that it can see your sb-700 . You may need to swivel the body so that the sensor on the front can see the flash .

Thanks for the input guys.

Worked it out....put the Yongnuo wireless controller on camera, the Yongnuo receiver on the SB600, set the Yongnuo speedlight to S1 and the Nikon flash on Manual....I think :D and both flashes worked.

Cheers.

You never said you had a trigger lol . It should work the way I described without the trigger . You can also put the receiver on the yongnuo and set the sb to manual slave .
