Got a Canon 300d, need a cheap second hand flash gun, as I havent a cluewhat would people reccomend?
Its mainly for my daughter arty tipe stuff and holiday pice whilst out at night

DAMN. £20-30 for a flash? You are going to struggle with that. I'd save up a little bit for something that's worthwhile. If you buy TOO cheap, you'll end up buying twice. The Yongnuos are not half bad for price.

Thanks but just looking to spend £20 or £30 as on a tight budget at the moment

Secondhand is the way to go then - unless you're happy adjusting all the settings on the flash manually then the Jessops 360AFD suggested above is probably your best bet, although even then you're going to struggle to find one within your budget.

If you don't mind playing around with the settings manually then you should just about be able to get a new YongNuo 460 from Ebay, or perhaps a secondhand example of the newer 460-II model.

My recommendation would be to seek out a secondhand Jessops one though.

Fine(ish) for macro but no use whatsoever for any of the uses you put forward in your op....
Thanks
I realise we need two different flashes, one for the bigger outdoors stuff and one for Macro, I just thought this was cheap and would allow both of us to do a bit of close up work.
