Hi Guys,
I've got a Minolta 7D,a Minolta 3600HS flashgun and a Sony 56AM Flashgun. I've also got a Gary Phong lightsphere for the 56AM which seems to work well as a diffuser and to soften the flash when used outdoors.
I tend to use the camera on manual settings most of the time, taking test shots and/or AEL readings and setting the Aperture and shutter speed accordingly. I have got better at estimating the correct settings for the ambient light.
Where I fall down is how to set the camera when I'm using the flash, either indoors or out. I also rarely use the settings on the flash, other than making sure HSS is on if I want faster than 1/125sec. By trial and error I usually get something I like but it takes a lot longer!
Has anybody got any advice or a beginners guide to flash photography?
