I'm stuck. Not being in a position to afford a Canon flash gun and not being the most frequent user (so far), I have bought a Jessops 360AFDC to work with my Canon EOS400D (with the EF 28-135mm lens).
The "instruction sheet" (cannot call is a manual) is badly written (IMO) and does not explain what is what.
Come to think of it the Camera instructions aren't exactly clear.
The flash gun has facilities I wot not of (I think I might just manage with Manual node). All I wanted to do was take some pictures of the bombs at Cosford Aero museum (they have a Yellow Sun Mk2, dark green with red trim, kept under the wing where there's not a lot of light).
The other desire for operation is the annual prize-giving. The honoured cadet is usually photographed shaking hands with whoever's doing the presenting, turn to the camera smile - Flash - next one please.
Can anyone please point me at a basic guide to modern flash photography ?.
Many thanks
