Hi all, just wondered if anyone could clarify something for me.

I'm looking to buy 3 x Calumet Pro transceivers (which I believe are based on the Phottix Atlas, compatible with PocketWizards). I have a Nikon SB24 and am planning on buying a Yongnuo YN460II so I emailed Calumet today to see if 1) the units were suitable for use with an older, higher voltage flashgun and 2) if it was OK to use different types of flash in the same 2 light setup. They confirmed that using the SB24 would be OK but said this about using different types of flash units:

"Yes different flashguns will work together, as the slave should fire them simultaneously.

The lower voltage of the Yonguno flashgun just means that it will have a shorter distance of power. So, you may need to position this one closer to your subject."

Am I right in thinking that they thought I was only buying 2 transceivers and using the slave mode of one of the flashguns to fire it? I've never used more than 1 flashgun before so slave mode etc... baffles me. Can't I just buy 3 units, 1 on camera and 1 each on the 2 flash guns and have done with without messing around with the slave modes etc..?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Regards, Rob.
