Yes
ive not had the 5d2 that long, but i recently tried it with my sigma 500dg super flash and it dont work. well it does work but it as a mind of its own.
i read somewhere that its not compatible with the mk11
so whats best to go for
i dont use it that much but need one as the 5d as no pop up flash
was wondering if to look at nissin models or maybe metz

It should work, and it's a good gun. Maybe it's an older version that can be fixed with updated firmware. Contact Sigma UK, with the serial number, and see what they can do - they're used to this sort of thing.

Otherwise, Nissin, Metz or Canon.

I bought a 430EXII and used it happily for a while. Then decided i needed bit more power for daylight so eventually bought a used 580EXII on here. I suppose it depends on budget. Don't rule out a pre-owned from classified section. I was going to sell the 430EXII to help fund it. Until I realised how well they compliment each other with the wireless functions. All flashes power can be adjusted by the camera wirelessly it's awesome.

Good luck

I just got the 430EXII from Jessops online and it was a decent price.
