Hi

Finally put a film in the Olympus 35RC this weekend and took it on a bike ride. It was great having a well built camera in the back-pack - felt good using it.

The meter doesn't work on mine so I used a light meter app on the phone - its a test to see if the camera functions ok.

Anyway, got to thinking that a flash might be nice (presuming that the test roll works out ok!). I have an old Pentax AF60 flash that I bought new in the 1980's - could I use that or would I better off with something like an Olympus T18?

Or, could I use any small flash from that era? Anything to look out for?

Cheers (and fingers crossed that the first film turns out OK)

Great little camera, love both mine, they feel solid in the hand and perform just like the day they were made.
I use the Olympus P200 and a Dixons 177 on all my Oly's, not sure about your AF60, but don't see why not.
Hope the pics come out OK.

Here's a few of my 35rc pics.

Hi, Virtually any Electronic Flash will work with the RC providing it has a hot shoe contact. If it doesn't and the flash is fired via a pc cord then all you need to get is a hot shoe adaptor with a pc cord socket. Very easily obtainable.

Hope this helps.
