I have acquired a Canon 430 EX flash gun (hubby's cast off) and although I have read the guide book, I think I really need a good guide to flash for beginners. I've tried searching the forum first, but came up with a blank.

Can anyone recommend a good book/course to help me get the best out of this gadget? There's not much point me putting it on the camera if I don't understand how to use it. ;)

:help: I too would be very interested if anyone could suggest a Book or DVD. :) I have the same problem as Photostar 1.

There's a section in Practical Photography this month dedicated to using flash creatively. It's worth a read if you're not sure about how to use a flash.

There is enough here to keep me busy reading for a month ;) .... I really appreciate the help....now forgive me if I'm not around much over the next few weeks whilst I get though all this. :D

The Canon EOS Flash guide as suggested by Matthew is a must read. I would highly recommend that.
