Flash diffusers

Thought id post this, in case anyone is looking for some
cheap flash diffusers/small softboxes for their flash guns.

All flashes triggered with RF-602's
All flashes set to 1/64 power and angled 45degrees up.

Flash left -Yongnuo YN460 mk2 NO DIFFUSER
Flash middle - Canon 430EX STOFEN DIFFUSER
Flash right - Yongnuo YN460 mk2 EBAY SOFTBOX

The softboxes were £4 each including p&p, fold up flat and are held on with velcro straps. As you can see, the flash is spread alot wider over the surface, and is nicely diffused.

Good heads up but what effect do the three light produce when compared? I'm interested to see how much spread the mini softbox produces....

With most flash diffusers, the quality of the result is almost wholly dependent on the environment, as most of the light is bounced off the ceiling/walls. That's how they work.

The Stofen will give a nice bounce-fill result off a normal ceiling, angled upwards. The standard flash will produce a similar bounce-fill result with the pull out bounce card, when pointed towards the ceiling. The mini softbox will produce a sligtly softer light than direct flash, but without any bounce component to the light, the shadows will still be quite strong and the background dark.
