I have just sold one of my d90's and bought a new d300s.

As all i have is tons of sd cards, can people say what they would reccomend for cf cards.

I usually like to stick to 8gb as i dont trust putting too much on one card and loosing it all!

I also like to get a good price!
 
Been using various Sandisk cards from the ultra range. I'm with you on not having large capacity cards of more than 8Gb.

www.mymemory.co.uk had some good value Sandisk CF cards last night at £20 and upwards depending on how much speed you need to transfer 8Gb so I will be ordering another one tomorrow.
 
Sandisk. Only Sandisk. Maybe Lexar if you spot a bargain.
 
I normally get Hama cards and they have always worked fine with my D700, although I normally get the 16GB cards which hold 600 shots per card. This means that if say I have a 7 day trip I simply pack 7 cards as I don't normally shoot over 600 shots per day and only 300 shots would mean likely having to swap cards mid day. The D300 might have smaller NEFs though.
