Does anyone know of a flash bracket where you can change the orientation of the camera from landscape to portrait but the flash still stays on 'top' if you know what I mean, it's to avoid the flash coming from the side when you go to portrait mode. Obviously the flash would be off camera.

Any ideas?

I have seen them but can't think where, the flash fits on a flexible arm if its what i'm thinking of and you just move the flash where you want it.
I will try to find where I saw them, but think warehouse express had them.

Thanks for that, I just had a look on their site and found this Digital Pro M kit but at £247. :(

I have the Stroboframe Pro-T as well (imported direct from the US). You can flip the flash from vertical to horizontal as you turn the camera to suit the orientation you want.

Think I've seen some cheap versions on ebay. No idea if they are any good.

Hi Colin

Funny that's what I'm after - I have a DVD at home about wedding photography featuring Joe Buissink who is shown using one of these brackets and wanted one as soon as I saw it, just never had the time to seek it out. I will look at it tonight. I wonder if I emailed him he might tell me, ya never know. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

I love this site!

I haven't even looked at the price! :D

This is exactly the sort of thing I'm after but again a bit pricey....

The ones that Robert and others have shown look a bit cumbersome and unwieldy but a lot cheaper.

Decisions, decisions.

How much is it Colin? Coupled with the Fong that's a wonderful bit of kit for weddings.

It's about $335 which would translate to about £170 before P&P, duty etc. As you say it would be ideal for weddings, it's a neat, compact device and exactly the type of thing I was thinking about.

It's obviously a well made bit of kit, like all their stuff....

I've an L-bracket (from Jessops I think) that can be rotated about the elbow joint and made into a long bracket for using vertically. So instead of folding it up from the L position you unfold it more into the I position (sorry, probably needs a photo to explain).

There's a picture on Jessop's site here. Mine's the one on the left.
