Hi in the market for a flashgun and have aroud £100 to spent, what can the panel reccomend for this kind of money

Used Canon 430EX/EXII, or Nissin Di622?

Is the Nissin any good? heard they were good but read somewhere they are manual only and won't fire in auto, is this true?

Jessops 360AFD... it's £99 new. I have the 300AFD (£30) but it's not flexible enough really.

The Nissin Di622 is a good gun for the money, reasonably well made and quite powerful, I sold a mint boxed one on here recently for £65 including postage. It will work in ETTL auto mode with Canon xxD models and xxxD models and also the 7D. It will not work with 1D series bodies for some reason. I do not know about the 5D and the 5D MkII.

It also has a built in slave, and will work off-camera but in this configuration it will only work in manual and you select the power setting.

so looks like the choice between the nissin and the 360AFD will go camera shop and try them out.
