Last weekend I broke my Canon 580 flashgun. I had it on a lighting stand that wasn't dog safe and the diffuser and white card snapped off.

I contacted a couple of authorised repair centres, mentioning I really need it back for next week and Fixation replied promptly. It was sent to them Tuesday, yesterday (Thursday) I got the call it was fixed and received it back today.

Now that's prompt service.

I've only had good experience of Fixation too... they did do a lens repair for me that was more than they quoted, without an ok to go ahead (dc-dc conv required replacing as well as the AF-S motor I was aware of), but once they realised I hadn't given them the go ahead they cut the charge back so no complaints there.

speedy service for me when I had a problem with my 7D and it was covered by the waranty so I did not have to pay for anything

Having spoken to them earlier today, that's exactly what's happening to mine after repeated Err30s and now a fatal Err40.

But then again, they are just around the corner! :D

yep - nothing but the highest praise for them from me. Service is always first class

The flash and wireless TTL had stopped working on mine, repaired in a week and they kept me updated, even offered to post it to me but as I don't live too far away collected it
