It's looking like I have to send my lens in to get fixed, I've heard a lot of good reports about Fixation but my logic is thinking that as it is a Canon lens Canon would be the best place for it to go. Can anyone comment on the customer service/turn around time/workmanship of either of these two, or indeed recommend somewhere else while I search from the damn receipt?

i have used both - if you want to call a fool in a call centre and have a hard time getting an answer to a question then send it to canon, sorry if this seems harsh, i thought that the canon customer service was poor and fixation's was good good.

I had a flashgun repaired by fixation a few weeks agos - i sent it on monday - i had it back fixed on friday (i live in Wales)

Thatks dude, that is just the sort of thing that I wanted to know...
