Yes
Would it be possible to find an adapter that would fit my 60mm Nikkor lens to my Pentax K1000?

are you looking for a glass less one for use with macro?

There are quite a few with a correction element - usually removable - to enable infinity focus.

the SRB which like a fotodiox which is available on amazon:

or a k&f

That's what I tend to do. Shoot "proofs" on digital first to get it looking right before switching to film.

I just want to use my 60mm instead of the lens on the K1000, which I bought 2nd hand in 1989. I think it's 35mm? It's tiny. I want to take a couple of film portraits with the K1000.

The short answer is no - not without uncertain compromises in performance.

I am not quite clear about what you are looking for and so apologies if you know this stuff already:

The lens flange to film distance is larger on Pentax K than it is on Nikon. This means that to to get a Nikon F lens to focus at infinity on a K body needs not just a mechanical adapter but an additional lens to accomodate the difference.

If you remove this lens from an adapter it will still make the Nikon lens usable for close ups but at typical portrait distance I just don't know - it might work or it might not focus.

If you leave this correction lens in the adapter, then you will get some degradration in the performance of the Nikon lens and its effective focal length will also change.

Don’t know which nikon 60 you have ( I have the afd 60 micro ). All the 60mm micros are superb lenses but I have no idea how it would play with the correction glass.

Just a further thought, for not much more than the price of just that adapter you might be able to get a cheap m42 to K adapter and a good M42 Tak from the Spotmatic days - even the humble 55/2 Super Takumar which I have - slightly radioactive though if that bothers you.

There are also many K mount MF lenses which you can use. pentaxforums.com and adapted lenses forum on dpreview best places to look to see what is worth getting.

I know basically zero about Pentax lenses ( apart from the early ones )
