Fisheye...what to buy????

Hi, Having seen some very "arty" photos taken using fisheye lenses, I really fancy having a go myself & wondered if anyone could recommend a fairly inexpensive one? I have a Canon 1000d (58mm) & a very tight budget!!

Samyang fish eye, brand new is around £250 but is a manual focus lens.

Another vote for the Samyang 8mm lens (£219), or try the slightly wider Samyang 16mm f/2.8 (£259) which I received today. Manual lenses at great prices, excellently made, quality construction!

The samyang seems to be a popular choice! Nice to hear such a unanimous verdict though. Just looked at some of the images captured with it on Flickr & am now convinced it's the one I want! Thanks guys

i don't own a fish eye but i will certainly buy a samyang if i ever needed one, manual focus is not a problem for me since shots i take with a wide angle or fish eye will be static landscape stuff so is easy enough to focus lol.

Samyang 8mm, 16mm and 85mm will be on my wish list

Samyang's new 24mm f/1.4 wide angle lens is due out in Feb/March with a price range of £499.

I've recently bought Samyang 14mm & 35mm lenses, superb build quality, think I'll go for the 85mm f/1.4 in January.

I have the Samyang 8mm and 85mm in my bag. Both exceptional lenses. Too much gearfaggotry around a brand names, I feel like I get a bargain every time I use my Samyangs, quality far above their price bracket. If they put motors in the body... wow!

Just want to let you all know that yesterday I took delivery of the samyang 8mm. Took a few shots last night (just messing around really) & the photos are awesome!! Thanks so much to all of you for recommended it

Please share! I've been eyeing up fish eye lenses for just getting a cheap (£30) fisheye camera which doesnt look as great (but that kinda makes it look... great lol).
