Placed my first order for years with Firstcall Photographic yesterday, not a particularly large order but I telephoned the order through and paid an additional fee on top of the standard fee for Saturday delivery. I also confirmed that all that I wanted was in stock.

Due to my current medical issues, if I am not at work during working hours I am at the hospital having tests/treatment, so it was very important that the delivery was on a Saturday when we could ensure someone would be at home.

Well, surprise surprise, after having waited in all day no parcel, now whilst some people may say it is not down to the retailer but to the courier company I have to say I disagee, the retailer should be aware if his courier is reliable or not.

So just be aware, if you are needing anything urgently or delivered on a specific day it may well be worth looking elsewhere. From now on I certainly shall.
 
Well as that was probably in person I wouldn't have thought delivery a problem for you.

As far as I remember I asked for it to be sent direct to my workplace rather than collect in person as it was only about a fiver or so and easier than a trek to their out of town warehouse.

If they were actually in the town itself then I would have just popped in and collected it.
 
Hi Ed, curious to know whether it arrived today and what the excuse was?
 
No arrival, no contact whatoever, Will be ringing them this afternoon to find out what is happening
