First try, so be gentle. Used a light meter with a 125 shutter speed. Used the light to close and either to much / to little but was happy with this effect. She soon got bored :bonk: any helpful hints
O how do I get the picture to show on the page not as a link thanks

A reflector to bounce a little fill light back to the dark side would help a little I think. Nice first try though :).

Thanks it was a quick set up in garage, have got second head with sotfbox but i did try shade / light look. They are the 750 pro's and i really was tight for space.

There seems to be different front ends on Flickr for some people.

You're on the way!

I think you should move the light closer to the camera. Try that, then try it with a reflector on the opposite side. Move it around to see how the angle affects the amount of fill-in you get.

The background is far too distracting. Plainer background, lower f/number to put it more out of focus. Getting more space betwen the subject and the background will emphasise this further.

Thanks, so tight for room and I mean tight . It was really just to give it a try theres 2 big motorbikes next to her LOL.I have got a full 2.6m x 3m high key back drop when i can find time. watching u-tude videos and Gary Edwards. l am under impression 1/125 shutter speed is perfect.
Heres how I did it
1/ Took a flash reading
2/ At 1/125 with iso 100 av was f16
The space really was a problem, when turning the power up. seemed to blow her out on the facing side
