First time printing

I've never had anything printed by a lab before but I want to get some shots printed and framed as presents.
I use a 5D MKII and Lightroom 4. I shoot in AdobeRGB so would i need to convert to sRGB in LR before sending off?

My monitor is not calibrated but are the prints likely to be wildly different if all I have done to the original file is convert to sRGB and sharpen and not messed with the exposure and colours?

Ask the lab which colour space they want

If its a pro lab ask if they need the files profiled and if they need a specific ppi.
I use pro-am in Bradford and they require a specific printer profile applied ( for their printers) and a specific DPI.
Its better to ask and be told no than not ask and find your prints screwed up.
