Hi everyone,

Got my first studio shoot this morning and I'm pretty nervous about it! Were shooting a high key lighting set for my college course.
Neither myself or my model has ever done anything like this before.

Does anyone have any advice for poses? Or whats the best way to let the shoot flow? Any advice would be great!

Thank you!

Obviously difficult to advise on posing without more details of the shoot. It's probably a bit late in the day now, but I was going to say make sure you've done your homework and have some idea in your head of where you're going to start, in order to get high key lighting. What modifiers you have available and what ones you're going to use.
Its important to try and relax and enjoy it, don't get yours, or you models expectations up, and don't be afraid to just play around with your lights.

Is this for an exam or just portfolio work? If it's an exam then being a bit nervous is no bad thing, focuses the mind! If its not, like I said, just enjoy it, nothing ventured, nothing gained :)

Let us see how you got on.

How did it go?
Would be nice to see your results.
Generally speaking, nerves focus the mind, but it is important not to show your nervousness to the model, as she/he will pick up on it, and it won't help matters.
Anyway, hope you had a great shoot, and more importantly, hope you enjoyed the first of many.
Good luck.

Cheers,
Gary
