first steps to my darkroom

yes , dont blow £180 , look for a second hand one for £ 50 tops ,,,( and post in the film section )

Yes, :agree:
Look on the bay, Durst, LPL, Omega even a small De Vere should be good, just ensure all the bits are included and no twists or deformations in the layout.

You could also pick up lots of other bits, as usually the owners are getting out of analogue altogether.

that sounds like a lot of money for what it is, all the wet darkroom gear is now selling for next to nothing secondhand. i had well over a grands worth of gear that i had to sell when we moved house and ended up having to almost give it away.
but man do i miss the nights up in our old loft and watching the magic unfold before my eyes.

Echoing the comments, buy used - you can get a lot of enlarger for the money.
