First steps in photo blogging.

Hi again. Just a quick one before the snooker .....

Having been following these forums recently, it seems a lot of people are getting on board the blogging bus.

As a result, I thought I would give it a go and see what it was all about.

I am therefore JUST BEGINNING to put a photoblog together here ....

I'd be very grateful if you could have a little look and give me any relevant comments. (not too nasty though please - it's a steep learning curve!)

I apprecaite you will have probably seen my images posted on this forum before, but I would like any comments on the style, layout of the actual blog.

Your photos are excellent.

It looks like you already have a domain. Personally I would dump blogspot and get yourself some dedicated photoblogging software set up on your existing domain. Blogspot just doesn't do your photos justice. I can highly recommend pixelpost and have heard good things of movabletype.

I'm into my second year now and have learned a lot. Good luck with it all, you're off to a great start!

Hi there, and thank you.

I was thinking about getting some dedicated software. At the moment I am just using photoshop to create the galleries on my website, so may look into blogging software.

Some of the blogs I have seen on here have been excellent quality, with lots of simple thumbnails presenting lots of images.

Need to look into this more, but cheers for your advice.

Hiya rob.

I have just been looking into this WordPress business and it looks very good.

Can you give me anymore information on it please. Does the free wordpress blog allow you to install the YAPB plug in?

I would be interested in hosting the whole thing myself but I am not sure how I would set it up - would I be able to use by NTL / Virgin bandwidth?

Be gentle in replies please - I'm overcome by code!!!
