Having assisted at numerous weddings I've just received a booking from a couple for next Thursday. :gulp: They booked a photographer but he has let them down because he has had a better paying job come in which is a bit unprofessional in my opinion. It's only a small wedding but a great way to cut my teeth!
 
Oooh, good luck! And I'm with you in saying that was unprofessional of the other tog .. in fact it's pretty shocking to do that to a couple so close to their wedding day!
 
I'm sure you'll be fine Colin. I agree about the other tog but at least it's given you a chance to show what you can do and generate some more work off the back of it :thumbs:

Very unprofessional and ill mannered of the other guy, but I can't see you having any major problems Colin quite honestly. How times and professional attitudes have changed! The first really big wedding I ever got landed with was a plumb job - daughter of a wealthy local industrialist where the tog was taken ill at the nth hour. Every pro in the area was contacted before I got the call, but they were all booked and they wouldn't have dreamed of cancelling, despite the fact they'd have all loved to do it.

I wasn't best prepared or experienced enough at that time to tackle such a daunting wedding, so it was a real baptism of fire, but it was great experience and I got a lot of other jobs off the back of that one.

I'm sure you'll do a great job. :)
 
You will sail through the job Colin. From what I have seen of your work, you will have no trouble. Disgraceful of the other tog. Good luck. Gillian
