First roll of film for around 30 years.

Good set. Well done.(y)

There you go and an example for others to try film. For me I like the last one and it's the sort of shot that you could play with for different tastes, like making it grainy or excessive contrast etc ..well you know what I mean seeing other shots on the net.

Those are really nice. I like the bandstand shot particularly.

The shot of the railway station at Penistone made me smile. I drove nearby a few weeks back (on the day I visited Emley Moor and Denby Dale). The viaduct at Penistone is another of my "things to shoot one day" - along with the one at Conisbrough.
I live about a mile from the viaduct at Penistone but have yet to shoot it. Not sure how to access the area at the top side. MUST make an effort to get there THIS weekend.

You produced a nice set of images. I too recently dug out my Canon EOS 1000 after a thirty year lapse and enjoyed slowing down and being more precise with what I took. I played it safe starting with Ilford HP 5 and have just finished a roll of Kodak Portra 400.

How did you find going back to film?

I didn't take too much care about what I shot, the main aim was to check that the camera was working ok and I could manage the settings fairly accurately.
Lockdown was the main reason for re-visiting film. Found it very therapeutic, a slow process which was in line with my lifestyle at the present moment.
I felt challenged, wondered if I'd be able to capture anything at all. It may be expensive in one way, compared to digital, but seeing as I don' t spend money on things other people can't do without ...
Looking towards a project or two each month. MIGHT buy a scanner if it is something that I really get back into. Hoping to take my film cameras on holiday to the Lake District, one with b&w and the other with colour.
